Butt Boosters

These exercises aim at working out your butt, abs, legs, and shoulders while you enjoy the cool breeze of the water. The beauty of it is that you can do these exercises while floating on the board or just in your gym area.

How?

While on the SUP:

  • Have a deep squat
  • Place your feet apart hip-width apart with thighs parallel to the board
  • Let the elbows touch the knees
  • Hold the paddle at chest level with palms facing out and keeping the back straight.
  • Lift the paddle in front of you as you rise on your toes.

For newbies, you can aim at completing ten moves while the fit-nistas can complete 30 plus.

Sit-Up Cinchers

These moves work out your back, shoulders, and obliques.

  • With your face up, lie on the SUP with legs in the straight position
  • Hold the paddle with hands wide at the thigh area
  • With knees bent, engage your abs as you sit
  • Rotate your torso and paddle to the left
  • Repeat the same in the opposite direction

Side Push-Up

  • Lie on your side
  • Stack your legs and bend the knees
  • Put your right hand on the inflated board in front of the chest
  • Put your left hand on the right shoulder
  • Raise your torso as high as possible, supported by the right hand on the board

Importance of Choosing a Sup Electric Pump

After enjoying the surfing, you need to keep the board’s pressure at the correct PSI. Sometimes, you deflate it for proper storage. Unfortunately (yes, we mean it), you need a pump to inflate it as and when needed.

Maybe you’ve been considering an upgrade to a powerful SUP electric pump. And that time is now because these little humming pumps come with a horde of benefits compared to their hand air counterparts.

First, any lover of paddling, whether a newbie or a paddle-nista, will want to spare that extra energy and time to enjoy cruising on high waves. If this is you, you got to get that SUP electric pump that can inflate your board with a maximum of 23 PSI in less than 10 minutes.

Sounds interesting, right? Read on.

Secondly, with digital technology, the SUP electric pump has been digitally calibrated to register every change in the PSI as it loads your pump with that vital air. With this, you can see how your board is loading and gives you time to control the amount of air. Typically, this enables you to stop (if it doesn’t disconnect automatically) to avoid over-inflating your board.

Moving on, the SUP electric pump is not only user-friendly but also requires little effort to use. Unlike the manual pump, the SUP electric pump is designed to work with a simple button press. It’s this efficiency that endears it to those who want to spare that energy for surfing.

How To Properly Store the Inflatable Paddleboard and Inflatable Pump

Now, addressing the elephant in the room. How and where do we store the inflatable SUP and the SUP pump? While this may sound technical, in the real sense, it isn’t.

Rigid SUP’s can weigh as much as 20 pounds and occupy a lot of space. With weight and space, it poses a challenge on where to store it. However, the inflatable type is different. When deflated, it fits in a bag and is lighter. But still, you need to correctly store it to avoid mishaps and enjoy it for a longer time.

Leave It Partially Inflated

When partially deflated, it occupies less space and can be stored on a rack under a shade or indoors. If you’re storing it outdoors, under the shade, make sure snow and rain don’t collect on it directly. Typically, when left partially deflated, your board won’t develop permanent creases that may damage it.

Protect It Against the Sun

Storing your inflatable SUP under direct sunlight will fade its beautiful colors in the long run. While sunny days are the most appropriate for drying your board, avoid damaging your board’s PVC material by over-exposure to the sun.

Consider Its Age

Yes, the longer you stay with your board, the more it wears and tears. Eventually, your board will need replacement. While this is a fact, proper storage and care can help it perform optimally for many more years.

Protect from Grit, Grime, and SALT

Elements such as sand, salt, and dirt are naturally abrasive and should be avoided. If your board is constantly exposed to them, it gets undue wear and tear, shortening its lifespan.

Pro Tips On Electric SUP Pump Storage

  •  Avoid Abrasive Soaps when cleaning
  • Occasional washing is recommended
  • Rinsing your board before storage elongates its lifespan
  • Dry the SUP after rinsing and before storing
  • Remove the fins before storing the board
  • Store the board lying flat

Final Words

Your SUP can offer you more than surfing. Evidently, you can use your board for exercises that help maintain body fitness. However, to get the best out of this board, it must be stored well and offered the necessary care.

For proper storage, ensure you keep it under the shade, avoid exposure to abrasive elements and clean it regularly with clean water.

For the SUP electric pump, ensure you use it correctly by following the manufacturer’s manual.
